The role

Do you love spreadsheets? Are you a pro with numbers? We’re looking for a super experienced accountant. You’ll have a deep knowledge of how the tax system works, what reports and filings are required and when, and be able to ensure we meet all requirements. You’ll also be capable of checking and inputting invoices into our accounting system for approval and payment, creating purchase orders as required, contacting our vendors to discuss accounting related matters if required and working with department managers to create quarterly budgets.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare financial documents for senior leadership team as required
• Fully understand the requirements to ensure compliance with local tax and accounting obligations
• Prepare and file required documents and reports with the tax department
• Be the contact person and manage the relationship between our company and the tax department including attending meetings with the tax department if required
• Create quarterly budgets with department managers and seek approval from senior leadership team
• Ensure goals, targets and deadlines are met
• Keep up to date with new or changed tax and accounting laws and systems
• Establish and/or update accounting policies and procedures
• Check invoices received and input into our accounting system for approval and payment
• Create purchase orders in our accounting system
• Contact suppliers to discuss invoices or accounting matters if required

This role is available in Jakarta or Bali only.

Kualifikasi:

Work experience and skills

• Experienced with Indonesia company accounting practices and tax compliance
• Proficient with accounting/tax software and Microsoft Office
• Clear communicator
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and multitasking skills
• Able to be proactive and operate with minimal guidance
• Highly organized with ability to manage time well
• Previous experience in the financial industry is a plus
